How IOSH Working Safely training builds a strong safety culture

Compliance alone isn’t enough — safety must be part of everyday behaviour. The IOSH Working Safely course empowers employees to take ownership of their actions and make safety a shared responsibility across all levels of the workforce. Here’s how the course strengthens safety performance:

  • Builds awareness from the ground up: helps workers understand the real impact of unsafe behaviour and how small actions prevent major incidents.
  • Supports regulatory compliance: meets national labour and HSE requirements for occupational safety awareness training.
  • Reduces incident rates and downtime: trained employees identify hazards early and report them before they become accidents.
  • Encourages environmental accountability: promotes responsible use of materials, waste reduction and energy awareness.
  • Improves productivity: safer, more confident employees contribute to smoother, more efficient operations.
